Interior Design Challenge

To invite Interior-Design talent in Indonesia 

to build PosPro innovative workplace as well as grow the participants portfolio

 

Competition Objectives & Design Criteria

  • Functionality. Create a design that maximizes the functional use of the space, reflect a modern and minimalist aesthetic, efficient & effective circulation, incorporate elements that promote employee collaboration and multi-use space.
  • Cultural Design. Highlight the heritage of Gedung Pos Indonesia as well as our Corporate Branding.
  • Wellness. The design should prioritize features that support physical and mental health, such as ergonomic furniture, natural lighting, nature/plants, and calming environments to enhance employee productivity and satisfaction.
  • Sustainability. Incorporate environmentally friendly materials and energy-efficient systems to reduce the carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices within the office.
  • Innovative Solution Approach. Focus on creative and forward-thinking solutions that integrate technology, adaptability, and modern aesthetics to meet the evolving needs of the workspace.
  • Compliance. Comply with local building code and regulations e.g. fire safety, electrical safety standards.
  • Participants will be given range of interior products to be incorporated into the design from our library ranging from furniture system, chairs, loose furniture, flooring, ceiling, walls, partition, etc.


Eligibility

Individual or team may participate and are open to all interior designers, both professionals and post-graduate students. With Minimum requirements as below:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architectural (with minimum experience of 3-4 years).
  • Coursework includes design principles, space planning, materials and finishes, building systems, and software proficiency (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Archicad).
  • Portfolio showcasing creative design skills may be required for program admission.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.

Additional requirement:

  • Studies cover architectural design, history, theory, building technology, structural systems, and sustainability.
  • Participation in workshops or certifications related to sustainability, green building standards, or advanced design technologies is a plus.


Submission

Participants will be provided by supporting documents package to complete the design:

  • Test Fit plan.
  • Project Brief and design capacity plan.
  • Non Disclosure Agreement form for participant to sign and return back to Pos Properti Indonesia.
  • Product Library for participants to opt the product to be used in the design.

Participants must submit the following:

  • A conceptual design board (A3 size PDF) that includes: Layout plan and Mood board.
  • Interior Design and 3D renders/visualizations (minimum 3 angles) for each room.
  • Detailed Engineering Drawing. The detailed drawing must be detailed enough to be used to produce the Bill of Quantity.
  • Product and Material specifications.
  • A written proposal (max 1000 words) explaining the design concept.
  • A portfolio showcasing past works (for professionals) or relevant academic projects (for students).
  • Completed registration form.


Evaluation Criteria

Submissions will be judged based on the below Criteria:

  • Creativity and innovation (25%)
  • Functionality and space utilization (25%)
  • Aesthetic appeal (20%)
  • Feasibility and cost-effectiveness (15%)
  • Alignment with competition objectives & Design Criteria (15%)

Qualification Round. Based on the design submission, Pos Properti will select 3 shortlisted participants to further present the design to the Jury. The final selection will be made based on the presentation round and will be elected as the Winner.

There will only be one winner for the competition.

Timeline & Rounds

  • Registration Closed: 7 February 2025
  • Design Concept Submission Deadline: 14 February 2025
  • ·Qualification Round announcement: 15 February 2025
  • Presentation and Judging Period: 16 February 2025
  • Winner Announcement: 19 February 2025
  • Site Survey Window: 19 February – 23 February 2025
  • Detailed Engineering Submission Deadline: 02 March 2025

  • All submissions must be original and not infringe on any copyright.
  • Intellectual Property. Any use of licensed software will be the sole responsibility of participants, Pos Properti Indonesia will not be deemed liable for any future claim.
  • By participating, participants agree to grant PT Pos Indonesia the right to use the designs for promotional purposes.
  • The jury’s decision is final and binding.
  • PT Pos Indonesia reserves the right to modify the timeline and guidelines.
